as promised here a update
i finally got some time to install the roof last week-end

i got away with one seam in the midle, it's not seal welded yet i ran out of
CO2 for the mig Embarassed

i did finish the new dog house (not fully welded also)


i must admit the wife was right (some time Wink ) that interior style look better
here a couple of shot of the dash panel i got from MYHUMVEE.com



finally here the panels i'm building to dress up the tunnel, i'm leaving 1/2"
gap for insulation

Looks very sweet... I love the Doghouse styling... looks amazing... any chance you've got sketchs and measurements?

Is everything tacked in place? If so, how will you get an A/C unit or other items into the dash? Through the glovebox hole? Looks great! How long did it take you to build? Did you build cardboard templates first?

it will get painted with wrinlke finish paint

the passager and dash dog house are only tack together for assembly purpose only
Once I?m satisfied with the fit it will get separated and holes be drill for a bolting
Yes it started as a cardboard job (well you now me and my cardboard)

Did you use 16ga or 18ga for the dog house? btw very nice design

oh okay, yeah that makes more sense now. thanks. btw did you measure the original dog house to come up with this design or did you create it yourself. just curious cuz i saw u are a drafter/desinger

i did not have any thing to measure, i created it with pictures i found on the net
been a senior draftsmen for 30 some years so it help me a bit

yeah being a senior draftsman for 30 years would definitely help out. I actually just got done designing mine in autocad (I too am a drafter but only with 2 years exp)
