It's been awhile since my last post but I wanted to share a few more build pics. As of tonight the cage is basically complete, except for the b-pillar triangulation w/5 point harness bars. I'll have to get the finished cage photos up this weekend. I was also able to find my donor vehicle Very Happy

I've been searching high and low to find the right engine, and now I finally stumbled upon it. It's a '91 dodge 3/4 ton with a '95 cummins turbo diesel engine and 5 speed getrag transmission. Some of you may not know a whole lot about these engines, but to make is short and sweet they are the kings of the diesel performance world. No electronics to mess up, just turn up the pump, slap compound turbos on, put on some larger injectors, head stud and o-ring the block and you're already way over 1000 ft/lbs of torque. The best part about this engine is you can make tons of power yet still get 20mpg. Well enough with the chit chat, here are some pics, let me know what y'all think.

You are building a beast. Will you be using four link, coil-overs, leaf spring, air bags? It appears you are almost ready to install your suspension.

I'll be doing front and rear 4-link. Probably will be ordering up 16 3" ballistic joints next week Laughing

I'm wanting to run air ride for my springs. I like the idea of having the suspension level me out automatically when I'm in an off-camber position offroad. I'm also trying to get it low enough that whith the suspension in the lowest setting I can still squeeze into the garage. I'll post some pics up of it in the garage tonight to show just how close it is right now (with rails sitting 31" of the floor).

Here's a couple more pics from this evening. The cage is basically done, all that is left is to put in the b pillar bracing and 5 point harness bars, but those will have to be put in after I get some seats.

wich tubing bender did you get for bending the DOM?

I have the JD2 Model 3 bender with a 1.75"x6.5clr die. I also purchased their Notchmaster notcher. Overall very happy with them both. Would recommend either to anyone out there that wants a budget bender.

Progress!! I'm hoping to have the fuel system in place by January, and shortly thereafter fire her up for the first time.

How do you say Heavy Duty in Texan? Those are some awseome welds and a truly havey duty suspension. Can't wait to see more.
